Claes Oldenburg’s CLOTHESPIN, 1976
Had a great visit to Philadelphia, and a terrific turnout for my lecture at the Philadelphia Art Museum, for the organization formerly known as the Fairmount Park Art Association (now the Association for Public Art). Thanks to all who attended, it was a wonderful evening!
Robert Murray with ATHABASCA, 1966, in front of the Jewish Museum, where it was shown as part of the city-wide public art exhibition, Sculpture in Environment.
I will be speaking at the annual meeting of Fairmount Park Art Association, on May 7th, at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Robert Murray, an artist who worked with Lippincott from the time it opened, and an important innovator in the use of industrial fabrication in the creation of art work, will be joining me. Hope to see you there!
The Lynden Sculpture Garden has posted a video of my talk there last July. Check it out at http://lyndensculpturegarden.org/blog/jonathan-lippincott-lynden-video

I want to thank you all for your support over the last year since the book came out. I am still occasionally on the road; my next talk will be at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida, on February 11th. More dates to come for the spring and summer. I have posted new photos on my website, you can check these out at in the gallery at www.largescalethebook.com. Thanks to the people who have sent photos of the book and/or reports of sightings at museums and bookstores, always happy to hear that it is out in the world. Also, if you have a chance, please write a review on Amazon. Wishing you all the best for the holidays and 2012!
